Candle Care & Safety

All Mystic Candle Co. candles are hand-poured in small batches.

Due to seasonal temperature changes in Wisconsin, candles may have slight variations in color and scent. Some may also contain 'frosting', which is a thin frosted-like layer on the wax and is a natural reaction to soy wax when temperatures are fluctuating.

Candle Care Instructions

Wooden wick candles need a little extra TLC. We recommend trimming your wick down to 1/8″ before each use. This creates a more controlled flame and allows the candle a stronger and longer burn.

The first burn is the most important! Burn your candle until the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar on all sides to prevent tunneling.

If your flame seems too high, please make sure to blow out the candle, let it cool completely, and then re-trim the wick.

Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from sunlight between burns.

Safety Tips

Never leave your candle burning unattended.

Keep candle out of reach from children and pets.

Never touch or move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is liquified.

Do not leave loose debris near the flame, this could cause damage or a fire.

Never use a candle as a night light or while you are falling asleep.

Avoid placing your candle near drafts and vents.
